SAFETY AND HEALTH

Hawaiian Rock Products Safety Department consists of safety professionals specializing in various aspects of manufacturing and construction. Our program management provides compliance review, levels of training and conciliation, including safety health and CPR certification. HRP has created a safety culture within the construction business that has become the baseline for our company on Guam – “Safety shall be the first objective.”

• Certified Safety Management Specialist (SMS), Construction Health and Safety Specialist (CHST) thru the Board of Safety Professionals. Level 5 (SSHO). 22 years’ experience in construction safety field. Oversees all Level 4 and HRP’S Safety Program.
• (5) Level 4 SSHO; over 9 years’ experience on civil construction projects for NAVFAC, Federal and Government of Guam and building construction projects.

Health is an important part of our Safety Program. Our company tracks the available statistics of dominant diseases and creates prevention and awareness programs for its employees. Monthly health topics are merged into the Safety Meeting to relay information, cessation classes, insurance clarifications and follow-up medical appointments.

• Onsite Annual Physical Exams – Blood Draws, BMI, Flu vaccinations with a 50% turnout.
• Smoking cessation classes and smoking awareness endeavors.
